I really need to do this more often

Trying to remember or even at times be bothered to write a blog, with things I'm doing or what I have done over the week.

I spend 60 % of my time in front of a computer and still forget but hey here it is this weeks blog is on its way.

And here goes.

I spent most of this week looking after my 5 year old who has been home ill with a hit temperature, so it has given me a lot of time to update my website, my photo crowd, my Flickr my Instagram but yet still left my blog till Sunday morning.  All week I had been reading posts about the possibility of a strong Aurora storm hitting during the week and decided that I will try and capture this one over the old pier in Trefore North Wales

I do spend a lot of time around this pier as it a brilliant place for long walks or even a quick trip to the beach anyway back to the Aurora chasing.

This wasn't going to be easy as the forecast was 30% cloud cover with a bright moon, every thing working against me. I packed all my gear in a bag even my jet boil as the winds where a little cold on Friday and headed off.

This is what I was greeted with once I arrived.

A beautiful yet very quick sunset, The forecast was right cloud cover was going to be a problem.

Once the sun went down I taken up position the other side of the beach looking North and waited for dark. and the clouds to clear

9:00pm Nothing apart from a cold iPhone that decided to go to sleep (Think I need a new phone)

9:20pm Somethings happen I can see purple in the sky

9:30 its gone

10:50 My phone wakes up after warming in my pocket, I check the current activity and it has gone down so I packed up and went home.

But here is the images of the purple blur over the old pier.

Not a complete wasted Trip :)

Here to next week blog
