Point of Ayr

Point of Ayr is the northern most point of mainland Wales and whilst the kids where enjoying the entertainment in Presthaven it was a little rude not to go take a few shots of this beautiful disused lighthouse.

I always get asked what settings did you use what F stops was that and what set up do you use so I though I would start adding it to my blog, Just remember I'm no professional and this is what works for me.

For this shot I was standing on the 3rd block in from the end I would of liked to stand on the last block but as the hole around the end block was full of water before anything I though i better stay where I was.

Settings
Manual mode (M)
Exposure 10 sec
F-Stop 11
ISO 50

The Tide came in quicker then I expected so it was a quick jump of the blocks into the sea, get to very wet feet ( as I only had my trainers on ) and try to capture the waves coming in. However  as the wave wasn't crashing it was rolling in quick so I will have to go back and try this one again ( any excuse to go back )

Settings
Same as above shot
